Usually. If the old system was analog on coax, a new analog HD DVR and cameras will run over the same cables. That's the main reason analog is still worth choosing.
Depends on disk size, number of cameras and resolution. Our packages are sized for roughly 30 days before old footage is overwritten. Bigger disks are an add-on.
Yes. Wireless (Wi-Fi) cameras are quoted separately from the wired packages, and they need a strong, stable internet connection at the spot where each camera goes. We check the signal during the site visit before recommending them. Wired is still the better choice where a cable can be run.
No. The cameras and recorder run on mains power, so recording stops during a blackout and starts again by itself when power returns. Nothing already recorded is lost.
